What makes you tick?

Hello budding Neat Freaks.

When clients would ask me to help them get organised, one of the first things I liked doing was assessing their time-management and organisational style. There was little use setting up systems if they weren’t going to be able to maintain it. Essentially, the solutions needed to suit them.

Last month’s freebie as well as a post on our FB page to take the test, was an indication that so many people are intrigued by the concept of these different styles. There are four different organisational types ranging from the perfectionist to the minimalist. The time-management styles include the so-called ‘detail dodger’ to the ‘last-minute racer’. Each style offers an explanation as to how you should approach time management and organising your space.

For example, if you are a ‘detail dodger’ you might forget things and miss deadlines and appointments, arguing that you aren’t a details person. Your strength however would be that you’re good at completing tasks quickly because you don’t allow yourself to be bogged down by minute details.
